My sidecar. It is an 88 GL1500 and was imported to Australia from Japan. If anybody has any idea of its origin I would love to hear from you.
  4. How does a Sidecar feel?

    General Motorcycle Discussion Forum
I have just riden my sidecar across Australia from Perth to Melbourne and then boat to Tasmania. 2,500 miles. Previous to that I had only done rides of about an hour so. I loved it and no sore muscles. Often I could actually take my hands off the handlebars but it never required much more than a...

  7. Helmet law

    General Motorcycle Discussion Forum

I assume problems with the brake switches can be eliminated by checking if the brake light is working correctly, would that be correct?
  10. How to remove rear tire

    Goldwing Technical Forum
The layover option of removing the back wheel on GL1800 should it be required when travelling compared to removing the back wheel on my old 1500 was one of the reasons I upgraded. To date I have only had to remove it when at home and use my jack which picks up on the centre stand and the engine.

  13. Hello from Western Australia

    New Members Introduction Forum
Hi, I am a retired Mechanical Engineer living in Perth, Western Australia. My first Goldwing was an 88 GL1500 which I purchased to ride around Australia. I then upgraded to a 2000 GL1500SE (should never have sold it) and then a 2014 GL1800. I have now added an 88 GL1500 with sidecar to the...
