    General Motorcycle Discussion Forum
Thanks to a Buddy for trying to get me all updated on my GPS. Well.... the US 2010's use the micro SD card. The ones they sent to the Canucks has the CF card. My Buddy, advised me just to order a factory CF from Garmin to get my new update. After several waisted hours trying to find one on...

I hit the wall more than once on this trip. The Snore's kept giving me their carbs, and I found a burger in Chicago that rivals Durty Gurts, couldn't finish my french fries.

Hey!!!!!!!! It's Wingerpeg...not Winerpeg fella!!!! I never wined once, except for maybe the bugs. Cudos for a job well done Galleryhunter. The town was cool, the motel was great, one of the best venues we've had, food at home and away was amazing, and What's Her Name didn't have to look at...

    NASR12 - 2019
We're home. Awesome job Carl, though you coulda got better cooks, and dishwashers. Time to start the diet once I get through 6 cans of deviled ham I came into, the 3 bags of fritos corn scoups and cheese sauce, 4 lbs of assorted licorice from Menards, 6 packs of Grands sourdough biscuits, 8lbs...

Leaving here Friday for one more trip along the Great River Hwy. Think I can ride that road with my eyes closed now. Also just to confirm that the campers are going to Palace Campground? Did you get me a Canadian NASR Deal for the campsite Carl. Albeit - Canadian Ambassador / VIP / Married...
  10. Your Opinions Please

I understand your concerns. If its in your comfort zone, pack the gas. Actually you burn less gas in the mountains or on gravel than blasting slab in the flats with a tail wind. On my previous trips, I would be gassing up at 1/2 or 3/4 of a tank just cause it was there.

Have you checked gas station availability on your route. Hell you can ride to Prudhoe Bay without an issue.

The museum in Anamosa is pretty decent. I am to understand the J&P warehouse is closed but the retail store is still there. I believe ol J&P supplied a lot of the bikes in the museum. Maybe we should all bring our ball gloves and get into a game of step up at the field of dreams.

82 wing, starter would not always engage properly fairly regularly. Sea foam was suggested to me. I giggled. Tried it, added seafoam to the oil and it improved incredibly. For years after, I added seafoam every oil change. I just suggested sea foam to Signdude who's bike isn't shifting...

Strange as this may sound, try sea foam in your oil. I had a starter that wouldn't engage properly on a fairly regular basis on an 82. Sea foam was suggested, I laughed, but tried it anyway, and it worked. Blew away any real logic I had.

They've digitalized weather rocks now. They're a lot smaller than the original oem. Same with the weather sticks too, but they don't last as long as the rock..
