Converted in Sept '98 after 2 rear diff; failures
Rear wheel guards moulded in fibreglass using the front wings of a French car a Citreon 2CV.
Storage box made from 1/16 marine ply strengthened on the corners with 1/8 ply and the base and lid are 1/2 ply.

One of the problems I found when I stripped it down was RUST.
Look closely at these photos, this is where the swinging arm is secured to the main frame. We had to weld shaped plates over this mess to strengthen it. ( foolishly no photos of the end result )
Had no problems since.

Suspension
I decided to replace the original seat with a 1500 King/Queen seat but because this raised the passenger several inches I had to raise the footpegs to match.
The result can be seen in the Garage photo above
The big problem with this conversion was lack of storage so a back box was added, made from 1/16 marine ply and strengthened on the corners with 1/8 ply, the base and lid are 1/2 ply.
