my wife thinks this is a crazy project, but it does keep me out of the bars....
I found a clear-title '75 frame which I have had chopped... various parts on ebay, etc to build a "cruiser gl1000

here is the question... I have noticed the '75-77 front brakes are different than the '78-79. Are the forks and brake mounts different as well. I have an aftermarket cast wheel that has the 75-77 brakes.

the guy who chopped the frame is www.kw-enterprises.com

All that stuff is interchangeable between the 75-79 models.

I've heard that the brake rotor mounts on the Comstar wheels have slightly different spacing than the spoked wheels (at leastup front), so you would have to get matching '78 or later rotors if you're to use the '78 or later (Comstar) wheels.

I have a wheel from a pre-78 with rotors and the rotors are different sized then the '78 rotors I have, hence the question of whther the forks of the 75-77 are different than the 78-79s..... thanks

The forks are the same from 75-79, minor differences with the brake & wheel setup as you know but the forks are the same.
