I have the friont end apart on my 1100 rebuilt the front forks yesterday decided to go ahead and replace front wheel bearings. The book have says you need a special tool to remove the spanner nut from inside the hub. What else can be used?

I haven't done it but I think some have used a drift or punch to tap it loose, at least that's what I recall from old threads....

Just came back in from the shop. That is exactly what I did. Tool would have made it easier but the drift worked.
