gumby what years your engine coz this cover changed slightly between 81 and 83 due the relocation of the neutral switch. 83 cover has neutral switch located in this front cover and earlier models the neutral switch is on side of engine.

she's a real beauty great job. question i'm having a helluva time trying to get my
water pump [the transmission cover side to seal] i am getting a little oil leakage the
weep hole. i noticed there is a slot where the small o-ring sits to prevent oil from seeping back thru to the water pump.every picture shows putting the small seal on
the pump housing 1st. i say into the back slot 1st.also should i put permatix sealer
around the o-rings [water and oil] this my 3rd go around pulling this project.
i have a 1983 gw 1100..
thx for your help..
