will 1200 coils work on a 1100

Somewhere here I saw a post that said the GL1200 "DW82" coils were virtually identical to the '82 and '83 "BW82" coils. The '80 and '81 "AW82" coils were way different.

The mounting brackets are different but the coils are the same, like Sam said. The late 1100 and 1200 coils will work fine on the earlier 1100s too.

thanks for the info guys.. I think Ill try that.. Dont need coils yet but was going to buy extra set here in town.

That's in the link that Big Port Jimmy linked to. I've seen new Neon coils on ebay for less than $30. Only problem is getting the 3 pin plug that goes into the coil pack.

I may try them my self someday...
