I have a1984 1200 that the inside of the tank is solid rust ,does any one know the best way to fix it.

How bad is it, dose the tank leak?



There are a couple of things you can try but if the tank leaks you may do better to replace it

I've done 5 tanks from various motorcycles with electrolysis and the results have been great. Cheap and easy with no coating to flake off in the future. I use sodium carbonate (washing soda) instead of salt though.
