Hey Clifton, Just a side note. Be sure the tank you buy is not from an Limited or SEi as they are different! I had to replace the tank in my SEi and found many "Honda mechanics" claimed they are all the same. WRONG! Plan on a couple of days, they hung the tank in the air and built the bike around it. Not a difficult job, just time consuming. Good luck, Gary.

I was watching the show "Trucks" today that I had recorded. Anyway, they showed a 3 part fix for gas tanks. It had a solution to clean all the rust, MEK to remove the first solution, and then a liquid liner-sealer that when applied and allowed to dry would seal pinholes and leaks. I think it sold for $50 so if you can't find a tank for less than that amount, you might look on http"//www.powerblock.com and see if you can find it.

You didn't say just how bad off it actually is but if it isn't too bad, this might solve the porblems for you.

not sure how bad it is yet, have to pull tank first, but that has to wait till back gets better. put a lot of stress on it lately. nothing works like it is supposed to anymore. age makes all men equal.

Just remember if using a liquid liner-sealer to make sure to clear the birds nest filters on the feed lines before the sealer drys
