I got on the bike today and found that the display on the radio is getting a black spot from the bottom. If it grows I will not be able to read the stations.



Does anyone know of a source for a replacement wafer?



Or does anyone have a non-working radio that they would sell.



I don't want to pay $200 when my radio and tape work great.

I was hopeing someone here had a none working one. Sierra will be my last resort as I know they will be able to fix it but I am sure it will be at least 100.

Hmm, mine is doing exactly the same thing...



It starts at the bottom and is a half circle not quite reaching the top...





Could it be the Kansas air?

i have a1200 radio I just took apart to do a mod an saw the ciruit board fried in a few places.
the radioio worked fine besides the tape deck .

if you want the remainder of the circuit board with the screen , the shiping can only be a few dollars.

Found out something very important today.



Jose was great and sent me a LCD from a radio he had tore apart. I just got it today and when I opened up mine Damm they are different. I know the radios are not exactly the same. Mine isfrom an SEI, but I assumed that most of the parts would be the same.



The LCD's are not even the same size.
