he wasnt there. he said it would run. but he also said it had reverse:cheeky1:

look at photo, crash bar off and valve cover. looks like its been raining in the left head. left side was side swiped by car, i was told and it looked like it.

it would make a really good parts bike or spend a grand on it.

mans name is mike. his # is51 two 80 one 440 three. its in houston at 6203 w. 34th. st. near 290 and 34th.

Thanx anyway Mark. I am already working on my project wing now. I do not need another one just yet. Thanks for posting the pics though.

I bought a Dodge Colt Vista AWD once... from a co-worker.

The man had taken it to his local gas station mechanic because the oil light kept coming on sporadically.Told him the oiling system was shot and he needed a new motor. Charged him whatever. Guy was furious. Gave me the car for a couple hundred. Figured I'd piddle with it.

Found the wire going to the oil pressure switch mangled and hanging down (for whatever reason). Wire grounding-out whilst swinging in the breeze at speed.

You'da thought he found a new religion when Igave it back to him and said I wanted my money back.

Sometimes, you never know.

Back in the mid 80's there was a company that made a add on reverse that ran on electric and all it was , was a small wheel mounted under the rear of the bike that rubbed against the rear tire and turned it. Not too popular but it did work.

Friction-Drive... Hacks and RTs still do it.

I wouldn't run it without a valve cover... 1500 seems a bit high in that condition, to me at least. Of course, there may be 1500 worth of chrome on it. Just me, but if I was riding it most of that would be on ebay.

Trunk is skewed and so are most of the rails and lightbars on the back. A lot of tweaking to do.

Tell me more about this drive.
