Hi

I have got a problem with my audio system. Occasionally it turns itself into mute mode and after some time again into normal mode. What could cause this kind of a problem?

Possibly a 5A fuse going bad in the relay box, labeled "Backup" It controls the radio volume and station memory. Are you loosing the station memory too when that happens?

Very good point. All the connections on the bike get dirty over time and need a good cleaning with electrical contact cleaner and plug and unplug a few bunch of times, lots of spray, to get the corrosion off the connectors. Spray all your control switches too. I do this yearly, 2 at most.
Let us know how it turns out for you.

Many thanks, newday and monkey wrench. CRC oxide clean to the bottom of the fuse and everything is OK. Best and the fastest help from the other side of the world..
