ok should rule out microphone, tx indicator working? my knowledge of cb is limited so trying to help with what i know. check cleanliness of connections, ant., talk switch, tried tx. from pas. position? i know someone with more exp. will come along soon. also you can contact http://www.sierra-mc.com keep in touch:action::waving:sorry link don't work but they're good folks can advise and will.

well i guess i'll have to wait until after vacation to work on cb have trip planned to start on 8/8 with two other riders for 8 days guess i'll be sending it out

have you tried the mentioned tasks or called sierra?:action::waving: maybe this http://goldwingfacts.com/forums/forum1/71560.html hope the link work, although this was a 1200 i suspect they're similar. some of the pics suck, but enough there to guide you through, very easy.

will try to clean switch when i get back just don't want to tear into before i gto on vacation

try pressing tx switch in slowly and watch for tx indicator, then talk see if it works, that's how mine acted. as for switch cleaning poc takes 2 hrs. including finding lost parts:cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1: good luck.
