What is the size of the metric allan wrench needed for the top two pinch bolts at the top of the front fork mounts on the GL 1500? Thanks.

My pinch bolts (all four of em on a 1988) were not allen, but a standard bolt with a 10mm head... The actual fork caps (not air caps) take a 17mm allen.

I know, not exactly what you asked, but hopefully there's an answer in there for someone. What year are you working with, I'll see if I can find specs (the pinch-bolts must'a changed along the way somewhere)

The pinch bolts are 10mm and they look like allen bolts in the description (according to the diagram...part #20 BOLT, SOCKET (10X25) ) So my guess would be an 8mm allen wrench.
