Hello again, as stated earlier I am in the process of rebuilding my front forks on my 97 goldwing trike, I have spent numerous enjoyable hours reading the information on this site. I have a few questions, 1. What are the differences in the progressive springs being installed with large end down or small end down, i'm sure its a ride thing but need information for mine, next i read somewhere on what type of oil to use and 10w is what i'm planning on but i also pull a trailer on my trike and need to know the oil wt and what kind is best, appreciate all you folks for all the help.:praying:

Either way on the springs, just both the same way. No difference in ride.
You want to use 10 wt fork oil. 10 wt will give a mushier ride than the 15 wt that Progressive recommends. Some say the 15 wt has a harsher ride.
I use 15 wt Belray fork oil.

Progressive

Progressive instructions say that close end down might be quieter than with close end up. No dif in ride or performance at all.
Send pm me an email address and i can send the pdf to you

When i did mine i found a strap around the forks and over my shoulder gave enough support to allow pushing down the cap to start it easier.

I forgot about that read! Good memory.... just short.

No to fix the broken memory retrieval!
