Whilst waiting for a couple of chrome parts to arrive I decided to install two rear speakers in my 19921500 interstate. After installation and plugging them into the socket under the seat they will not work. Is there something else I need to do. Thanks in advance and regards to all.

They should work once you have the fader control installed on the bike as well.

Yep, fader required. Add-On do a cheap fader & speaker set or you can buy the fader on it's own. The Honda fader is much more expensive bit apparently lasts much longer.

That's right. The Honda fader kit instructions tell you (or used to, I don't know if the OEM fader kit is still sold) that the fader is needed for the back speakers to work.
