I came across a Continental with the following specs and was wondering if it would fit the front end of the GL1500 (and has anyone had experience with it)?

Technical details for Continental CST17 155 60 18 107 M:
Width: 155
Pattern: CST17
Ratio: 60
Run Flat: No
Diameter: 18
Extra Load: No
Speed: M
Reinforced: No
Load: 107

My setup is a GL1500SE with a sidecar.

I don't remember reading anywhere of that tyre being used on the front.

it might fit but according to this ad http://www.ityre.com/en/tyres/catalog/continental/model/20708/it is designed for a temporary spare. It also just has a 50mph speed rating which would definately give it a "DO NOT USE" for me.
Beenshot - what is your take on "The Dark Side" front tire for a rig like mine (GL1500SE + sidecar)? I see you ride a Trike. Maybe you or someone you know went over to a car tire in front too?

I don't know of any car tires being used on the front but most are using rear motorcycle tire on the front and getting good results.
