1800 intercom

Have you tried adjusting the headset volume? Push the volume knob until intercom volume shows on the screen then turn the knob to adjust.

I just went through a similar issue with a 2003. After exhausting all my options, I called the folks at Sierra Electronics. I talked to one of thier service techs. and was informed that this is a fairly common problem. He told me what that technical problem was but I can't remember what it was. He did say that he repaired in excess of 200 of these last year. I paid the shipping to them, and for $120 they made the repair and sent it back. They are great folks to deal with. Yes i have turned the volume up and down several times. repeatedly tried turning and adjusting every knob, button, and you name it. still not a sound.

just intercom not heard, or is it all audio sources not being heard thru the speakers?

i do have audio in the speakers. i have absolutely nothing in the head sets. no radio, or intercom.

If you can pull the left front pocket, follow the headset cord down to a red connector, making sure its plugged in completely. Also under the seat in the rear, the same red plug for the passenger headset. Make sure they are seated and there isnt anything else plugged into them (like a mic-mute set, GPS interface, or some other device that may have failed, causing no IC).

Just reinstalled my Sierra repaired radio last night that had the same problem, and it works great. As I stated... $120 for the repair and return shipping, and I was without it for less than a week (but I live within one day shipping from them). I'm sure that the turn-around time varies with work load, but I was impressed. Good Luck!
