how did you mount your bike side plug? i need a 6 wire plug as my trailer has trailer brakes. currently on the bike is a 6 wire plug coming through a hole drilled in back fender, it is rectangle with two rows of pins 1 is female, the trailer has same style yet another brand and the opposite pin is on the wrong corner. i have purchased a round 6 pin set and have seen some mounted in back fender, on hitch and under trunk. any suggestions?

I have the 1500 and I mounted it under the saddlebag cap.
No screws show and easily removed without ugly holes to patch and paint.

I see the 1800 has a different challenge. To keep the clean look probably a heavy gauge sheet metal bent from under the bag and shaped to go between the hitch and muffler.
I've never looked under the 1800 bags so I'm guessing there's space and a place for screws/bolts.

GL!

Mine is bolted to the hitch itself with the opening facing the road, trailer cord reaches up under the fender and plugs in without a problem. It is hidden when I remove my draw bar.
