I am we'll under way with my restoration. Lots of POR15 product and totally bare frame so from the ground up. One thing I want to get right is the front and rear wheels without breaking the bank. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good way to restore them? The alloy rims are in pretty good nick but the spokes are surface rusted and look average. Two thoughts I had was to strip the tyres off and then:

Powder coat the whole lot
Try and just paint the spokes
Replace the spokes but I have only found the front ones on eBay
Paint the whole lot with a POR15 product (don't know which one yet)

Has anyone been down this road before and have suggestion?:)

If you are planning on replacing the spokes, you need to know how to set them up. I've seen some spoked wheels cleaned up and powder coated silver and they looked nice.
