I have a 1976 GL1000 LTD that was my Dad's. Im in the process of restoring it back to near original. It had the Vetter front and rear bags and a touring seat. Which are gone except for the seat. I've replaced the timing belts, fuel pump, fuel filter, and had the carbs rebuilt. Then it started right up. Now Im looking for the Candy Brown paint. And the exhaust system is completely gone.
I have found a company that has the decals and pinstripes.

Yeah. This is my first bike that I've restored. Had smaller bikes in high school/college. Next is the brakes...rotors are rusted..

If your headers are in reasonable shape, you can fab a set of Harley pipes on it for a reasonable price. Sportster mufflers are a dime a dozen.
