Hi everyone. Well, it all started a few years back when I decided it had been too long since I had been on a bike so I decided to procure a vintage 1980 Goldwing and so I came upon one that appeared to be all there. Or so I thought. Turns out that the carbs were off a 76 (the part #758A was a dead give-away) and the PO had butchered the air box to fit around the air cutoff valve. Needless to say many hours and dollars later, the bike is in near showroom condition, however, I need to source a complete carb rack for my bike and would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide. Also, need an exhaust system since the one that is on it has seen better days. cheers

I'll bump it up... but mods should probably move it to the Wanted/For Sale section...

Carbs are pretty easy to find on ebay but be prepared to rebuild them. Go for an 82 or 83 set for the removable idle jets. Otherwise everything is the same.
Exhaust, all I can say is good luck. Wish I had a couple dozen sets to sell.

Well Lastmohicanz the carbs i cant help you with . im just about to finish a rebuild on an 82 interstate gone naked . The exhaust was shot on the rightside so where the headers just start to get to the muffler i cut them there and welded a piece of pipe to fit some Harley sportster cost me 15 bucks with shipping or if you can find some 1000 headers they wont need any part welded on and i think 1200 headers fit also . Over at Nakedgoldwings.com and on here there are posts on how to do this as stock and new exhaust systems are expensive .

Quality exhausts are hard to come by for these machines. You will occaisionally see one on ebay but when you do the bidding goes out of sight. An outfit called Motad makes a stainless steel after market system that is probably the best you can buy if you are looking for the OEM look and sound. Available on ebay but pricey.

1200 headers will not work on an 1100. They will bolt to the heads but the pipe hits the engine case and they will not seal off. Also the pipe at the rear turns up too high and is too close to the rear brake linkage.
