Curious on the top cruising speed on the GL 1100. Not sure what speed limits we may encounter on this trip. Will the GL1100 withstand long periods of 80 mph speed zones if need be.

Was just on a 600 mile trip with my 81 GL1100 . Ran between 60 and 80 for around 300 miles with no problem.

I have run my 81 1100 at 80+ all day many times, No problem. The high RPM's it likes to run at had me concerned at first but it was designed to run that way.

Just rode 1000 mi mostly on the interstate. Between 60-80 for hundreds of miles. No problems what so ever. 82 gl100.
