Thank you all for the guidance when I needed it, I was able to get about 90% done and taking a break for the holidays.
About 4 years ago a dear friend and neighbor passed away suddenly. His wife, not knowing exactly what to do with it asked me if I wanted it or if I could help her haul it to the dump. Knowing how much he loved the bike, I took it with the intent of rebuilding it. For about 3 years it sat, I even acquired a parts bike.. and it sat some more. Now 2 GL1100's were taking up precious real estate in the garage. I tried to sell it, but had some bad luck online (scammers, fake eBay accounts etc.) long story short it wound up back with me and my wife convinced me to rebuild it.
First day, this is how it came to me. Very much a 1980's bike.
The day it made it to my driveway (pushed it on the engine stand... boy was it heavy)
Started the process, amazingly the motor was running good (with some minor tuning) I took it all the way down to frame and motor... repainted it with ceramic paint
Replaced the cooling system with an all aluminum, with silicon racing hoses (I have roots in the racing world) as well as found some chrome parts.
Even had to paint the wheels
There was no real pressure to go back to a stock look so I did my own thing, and combined different types of styles I liked (Bobber, Cafe', Cruiser) and lightened it up a bit. I kept all the original mounts so I can add bags, racks etc.

just saw this, and thought we need a thread to keep all of the unusual bike builds in.
so, with that, here we are, a bike with a Radial Engine sidecar.
Called a trike builder a month or so ago and priced out a rear rim and was told $100, black or silver. Called again last week and was told $150, tried getting them back down but he said he could go to $125 but no lower or he wouldn't make anything. I didn't realize that they paid to keep the...
