My 1981 GL1100I is in need of a new water pump and BoyHONDA wants an Arm and Leg plus money for OE parts. I have been looking around for best price and found Saber Cycle selling a Honda water pump for $190.00 or an after mkt one for $119.00 W/sealing kit.

Any coments about this subjest will help me know if I should go OE or after mkt.

And if any one has already used the one from Saber Cycle please give comments.

Well, you might want to do a search on Saber. Lots of people won't buy from them for a variety of reasons. They have some really cheap prices but the quality of some of their items and their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Note you can rebuild your water pump for about $25 dollars if the shaft is not rusted out. You just need two bearings and one mechanical seal, again do a search it's all in the forum..also their is a guy in Holland who sells the kit for $25 plus shipping. monaco2007...at...gmx.de

Thank you for the heads up on Saber Cycle. They sure have good deals ,to bad I could have saved some cash. What do you think about Crescent Moon supply? They charge a little less than the Honda Dealer. Are they ok to deal with ?

I will most likely go with a new pump.

If you buy from Sabre cycle you could wind up with no pump and out the money also. If you noticed they only take money orders. The reason for that is that they dont care if you have the right part or not once they have your money.Their attitude is "tough Luck"

yes another advice about staying very far away from saber-shitcle they will sell you parts that wont fit and wont give ANY support. and dont even think about returning the item. lol

I called western Honda yeaterdayand they gave me a price of $126.00 shipped.

Also found Mr. Cycle in Ashville , NC, shipped $123.66.

Ohio, Florida Honda $111.96. + shipping.

I have all the info on the shope soif anyone needs it let me know.

Next I am going to replace the fuel pump and am looking at and electric fuel pump , stay tuned.
