Hello All

I am rebuilding the carbs on my 1982 gl 1100 Interstate. I am wondering do the little disk that the manual refers to as pucks come out? I know on my Gl 1000 they come out and are a part of the idle circuit.

Are these removable on the 1100 or not? If so mine are stuck. Any help is greatly appreciated.

So the pucks in the 1100 carbs are suppose to come out? I am using a Clymer manual and it cover the 1000 and 1100 from 79 to 83 and it vague in the carb repair area

Thanks

I have looked closely at all the carb kits from various supplier and none of them supply the pucks for the GL1100. If you have to punch or drill them out, it would seem that they are no longer removable but part of the body casting.

Are we talking about the blanks for the air screws? If so you can just drill them. The reason you don't get spare blamks in the repair kits is because you are not really supposed to tamper with the air screws in the first place. I use silicone to seal the blanks on mine after adjustment, as it's easy to pull out again later on.
