1982 gl 1100 rear brakes upgrade

the rear brakes on the 1982 gl 1100 are a rather soft set and kinda noisy on older rotors. there is a cure for this. the rear brake for this is to be replaced with the brakes off of a 1996 gl 1500 harder last longer stop better and quieter too.

You may have a problem mounting 1500 calipers on an 1100. The caliper brackets are very different and the 1500 calipers won't mount on the 1100 brackets. Better bet would be to get a new EBC rotor and pads.
