Have a 83 Aspencade with 34K on the clock, maintenance indicator turned yellow and it seemed like it was about time to change the oil. No problems so far. However when I tried to reset the maintenance indicator with the ignition key indicator went to red and now I can't get it to change to green, stuck on red.
Tried every key I had same thing.
Is this normal? Or is there some trick or way to by pass it?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

my key doesnt do it either but one if the tools on my leatherman does. jb

Try a shot of WD-40 in the slot and on the key. If that don't work just keep track of your mileage. Is Dumonts bar still open?

The key should work; does on mine. Might have to raise the instrument cluster to get the key in straight?
