1983 gw 1100 rear brake pistons

hi when replacing my rear brake pads i found the pistons stuck inside the housing so

far i have only used blaster to try and loosen them up. does anyone know if heat would

be ok to use to free the inside corrosion and rust?

Do a search on the site. Ther are lots of tips on removal involving air guns and grease guns. I have just put on a link to a fella that makes stainless ones and will ship world wide.

That's really the only way to do it. Only thing I would add is make sure you keep fluid in the reservoir so it doesn't run dry!

Good idea, I added that to the instructions (for both front and rear calipers).

i did that technique it worked great just use some emmory cloth to clean it dont eat up the caliper its aluminum i think if i rember i soaked mine in diesel fuel overnight to break up all the gunk in it
