there is a post on cleaning tanks either do a search or try alpha. index. advise timing belt change before running, also cleaning electrical connections, stator plug removal solder and heat shrink. all fluids changed. good luck and welcome to this forum.:action::waving:

might as well pull the tank and clean it out or you will have nothing but problems. When you put it back on I would change all the fuel lines and filter. Then I would load it up on sea foam and hope it takes care of the carbs.

Good luck

Really good advise so far. Timing belts, tank rust and AOK on the Seafoam.

After sitting that long brakes and tires can also be a major concern. Tires will dry rot and get small cracks in them. The tread may look fine but the structural integrity of the tire can be suspect.

Getting it running is great but if you can't stop it, you have major problems. Take it very easy and be sure the brakes (front and rear) are functioning before trying to ride it.

Good Luck and Ride Safe
