Is that how starters go? I was having no issues, then click?
electronics can do that, one last test before pulling starter would be to use a jumper cable right on the power lead of the stater

That's how my started bit the dust. I started the bike for a quick ride to the store, started fine, when I came out of the store to go home, just a click. Tested the starter and it was bad.

I tried a jumper cable straight to the starter...nothing.

It always was a little sluggish to start when it was hot. I always assumed it was something to do with the battery. When I'd been riding it a while and stopped, when I went to start it there was always a hesitation, like the battery was low. But it was always kick over. So was this a sign of the starter going bad?
