1984 gl1200

Why dose my titled 1984 GL1200 look like a 1983 my bike has a round headlight and a gage cluster like a 84

The 1984 GL1200 as apposed to the GL1200i or GL1200a and often referred to as a Standard did not have a fairing or luggage.
It's possible that in the past someone put on an aftermarket fairing and luggage.

A picture or nine would help to identify it.

If you look at the young:ROFL: fellows profile it has two pictures of his bike.

It looks to me to be a 1984 with steering mounted instruments (Standard?) GL1200 Interstate/Aspencade luggage and a GL1100/1000 fairing.
