Hi all,
I have no choice now but to do it myself. I am going to do a head gasket, thermostat and timing belt replacement on my 84 GL1200A. I am confident in my ability but had no desire to do it myself. I am looking for the best video's on the three subjects I have listed. Thank you for anyone who can help.

blowing a lot of blue smoke and the water level of the radiator level keeps getting low. No oil contamination as far as I can determine

Blue smoke is more likely oil. White (steam) is water.

Is this just at start up?

What are the compression readings? Can you do a leak down test?
