My Goldwing is running too richly and fouling the plugs. Can somebody give me a few tips for setting up the air intake on the carbs so that it doesn't run as richly as it is doing now. I know where the screws are for putting the vacuum lines from my Mercury tester. I just need to know a bit about adjust the intake screws on the carbs for the right mixture.:(

Dean, the vacuum tester is only for checking the balance of the carbs and not for setting the mixture. The initial turnout for the pilot screws on the 1200 are 2.25 turns out. Just keep adjusting by about one quarter turn each and riding around the block until you get the plugs running right.

Thanks Jason...much appreciated. I'll make that my project for next weekend...it's just starting to rain here in Toronto, so I think I'll just watch "Antiques Roadshow", and then "American Chopper".
