This has been asked before. You would have to change the crank case and crank shaft, then change the ECU. The PG's are not problematic on the 84's like they are on other years. probably because they are on the back of the engine and stay cooler.
1984 Pulse Generator Upgrade / Conversion
Been looking, but can't find any threads about converting an 84 to having the P/Gs on the front.

Someone asked this in another thread a few days ago Bill. Far as I can recall, the outlook wasn't positive.
