Hi, I own a 1985 goldwing, ( lucky me) I've had the fun of taking the engine out to replace the "stater", I've stripped the front end and re-coated the forks, I've rebuilt the rear end, new bearings in the swing arm, new seals, brakes stripped, new pistons and seals, just a few odd jobs, as you do.
I've recently noticed a bearing whine coming from the short drive shaft section in the right hand side of the engine, I know theres a plate on that side that allows access to the cog that connects with the timing chain section inside, do I have to pull the engine out again to replace the bearings on that little shaft ? ( I do hope I don't).
