Ok, I need to know what fluid and how much shock fluid to put in the rear shocks of my '85A. I can't find it anywhere. Thanks, ahead of time. I have the right side off and open. I'm ready to install the new seal. Thanks ahead of time.

With stock springs, auto tranny fluid will work fine. If you have Progressives, 15w shock oil.

Progressive says in step 9 (see below) to pour 2 ounces Dexron II ATF in upon reassembly of the 416 series. Progressive uses or used the same seals as Honda OEM. Below is their instructions.

Assuming the inner non serviceable shock body is OK, you're just replacing the air chamber seals?
