Today I changed the timing belts, fuel filter, cruise filter, sub filter, air filter, oil filter, oil and anti freeze. With out my father-in-laws help I would have just shot the old girl and buried her faring down in the back yard. Who ever designed these bikes should be beaten. It took us a smooth 6 hrs. Taking off all of the stuff to get to the stuff you need to get to took most of the time. You better be good with puzzles before you try to work on a GW with tupperware because that is what it is a puzzle. Time to clean up.:lash:

I have 106 000 miles and I am the third owner. I was almost sure that everything was original but I was happy to discover that the first owner installed a K&N air filter. I put in a OEM filter because it looked better made. The cruise and sub filters crumbled so they were old. The fule filter was not in bad shape either. The belts looked to be OEM but were in good shape. The belts should be changed every 50 to 80 thousand miles or eight years. Not sure about the filters.
