Hi guys,

I have no power other then to the clock, radio and CB when the key is on ACC when i turn it to RUN i loose the CB and clock power and i hear a clicking noise from the tail main relay (3).
I tried changing the relay with the others and i keep having the same problem.
The battery sits at 12,42 V and i checked the connections to the terminals.
All fuses are good.

Key on ACC or RUN
No power to :
main Light, brake light, horn, starter, gauges, hazard lights.

Key on ACC
Power to :
CB, radio and clock

Key on RUN
No power to :
CB, radio and clock

Question on ACC the horn should work right?
If so then the ignition switch should not be the problem?

Update :
Checked the battery with key off it was showing 12.45V and the tender of it was telling me it was ok to use.
Put the key to run, the volts on the battery dropped like crazy to the point i could not get a clear reading.
The clicking sound from the #3 relay was also slowing down.
Could it be that the starter solenoid is fuse closed?
What should normally work when the key is on the ACC?

How do i test the relays to see if they are good using a multi meter?
I was told i should have a reading between 50 ohm and 120 ohm on the brass terminals and 0 on the cooper ones is that right?

I would bet on the ignition switch.

That says the battery has given up the ghost. Enough power to run the radio some on ACC but when you turn it to RUN this adds a whole bunch of stuff like headlights, taillights, ignition system, and there isn't enough power in the battery to run them.

I'll have the battery checked tomorrow.

Load test it on the bike with just a voltmeter.
Connect the meter directly to the battery lugs. Not the baattery terminals. Try to start the bike and at the same time read the meter. Bet it is 5 volts or so. Make sure the battery is charged before you pitch it out. :)

If you had jumper cables you could try it hooked to a car battery.

If you use jumpers, do not have the car running. Just connect the jumpers to the battery's and be sure you have the polarity correct. Positive to Positive and Negative to Negative.

After checking the battery and the voltage on the acc position.
The battery was the problem, it showed 12.50V off but when i checked at acc and run it dropped to 4.45V
New AGM battery installed and it's purring like a kitten.

TYVM all!
