My Cassette Deck stopped workking last summer after a tape got jammed inside. It took forever to get this out and now she is dead. Any known places that repair these or can I add a CD player in place of this on my bike.

Sierra Electronics can repair the cassette deck, or better yet, they can add an Auxillary Input with which you use a MP3 player such as an IPOD... that's MUCH bettery than a CD, although you could input from a CD also if wanted.

By all means have the radio checked out at Sierra if you want the tape player to work however if you install something like this [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Audiovox-FM100A-Modulator-Isolation-Transformer/dp/B0001KO7UI[/ame] you can have an mp3 player instead of a cd player. Your itouch/ipod are good for this, works great.

As far as Sierra installing an input I am not sure they do it for the 1200 models Type III radio.

Guys thanks for the replies, I spoke with Sierra and this is the best option. I will send it in this week for the add-on.
