My 1996 Goldwing the idling after I start riding will not go back to normal. I half to stop cut the engine off and it goes back to normal. One's I start riding it goes to 2100 rpm and normal has been 800 rpm. Can anybody tell me what is going on???
I'm going to have to make a WAG here and say it could be the intake shot air valve sticking, maybe a vacuum hose collapsing causing it to hold vacuum on the valve. I think you could at least start narrowing it down by removing the air cleaner cover and plugging the large port at the right front.
Or a carb sync out of whack. At idle after starting there is not enough venturi effect going through the carb to start drawing in from the main fuel circuit. If the sync is out with one throttle plate opened largely you get what u got.
