the 1500s average 33.3 mpg year over year.
I don't care what a Single Tank "appears to show". those calculations aren't worth zip.

I had a '94 and a '98, and both of them on Spreadsheets, over 1,000s of miles,
and the spreadsheet shows 33.3 AVG MPG at the top of the sheet.

yup, single tanks at 44+ with gentle throttle, no winds, and down hill.

You might want to re-think the oil choice. The wet clutch doesn't like slippery additives.
Anyway, welcome to the forum.

I used Rotella T4 10w30 in my 1800, it seemed to work okay.

with my 1500s, I only used Dello 15w40 Dino oil

got to thinking about that, I switched over the T6 5w40 because I had the '02 model year, which has in some cases, had the Alternator Drive Gear shear off, IF, some Klutz twists the throttle up immediately when starting the engine....

cold oil does not circulate well, but the 5w works super fine....
the Oil Pressure is up on the gauge in about 3 seconds or less, or was it a RED light?
been too long since I rode it now....

whatever, even with T6 5w40, the clutch does NOT slip, and I rode it hard to see.
