Considering replacing original suspension with new coil over shocks and looking for advice on this. My original suspension is very rigid regardless of air pressure.

Make sure they are adjustable so you get the ride you want. I have a pair on 88 GL1500 for 15 years and they still work.They came off a (nasty word) Harley. Good luck you can handle it.

The OEM system is the best and most comfortable I have ever experienced on a motorcycle.
I wanted to find out what's wrong and then fix it!
