I have a 1998 GL1500 SE. It has the adjustable passenger foot boards. I need to remove the right foot board assembly. Call me dumb but I can't see how it comes off. Any help would be appreciated.
Look up under the chrome cover and you should see two small Phillips screws (or one, I can't remember). Remove the screws and the chrome trim out of the way and you will see two Allen bolts. These are what hold the footboards to the bike. The bolts are either 8mm or 10mm Allen bolts.
Thanks GWNorman. Bit of a tricky job working between bike and side car, but had success.
Thanks,
max t.
