i start the motorcycle and 10 minutes later it stalls with dead battery. looks like i did not have to buy a new battery as something is wrong with the bike it seems. its a 2000 goldwing SE.

Ditto saw., fully charge the battery with charger set for 2 amps. This may take a day for bat. to fully charge @ 2 amps.
Install batt. , start bike and let warm up to op.temp.
Connect meter set to DC volts at the battery + and - terminals. If unsure about meters etc. just ask .
Rev motor to 2000 rpm meter should read 13.5 - 15.5 volts.
To double check , rev motor up and down , meter voltage should rise and fall with rpms.
If meter readings stay steady at approx. 12-13 volts your alternator is not charging.
