2003 GL1800 Side Compartment Release Problems

I have been having problems with the side doors unlatching when using the release levers under the rear compartment. The release buttons that can be accessed from the inside of the rear compartment work fine but not when using the release levers under the rear compartment.

Have tried adjusting the latching assemblies in the side compartments but with limited success.

Any suggestions as to where I should begin the next repair attempt?

Try cleaning and waxing the inside of the saddle bag around the edges where they close. They may just be sticking.
