Doing a project for a friend and his left handlebar end weight will not come off. Have all new internal bar weight/dampner to install. Part # 53104-MCA-A60
Also have the other rubber pieces and snap ring. When I put the new assembly into the bar and attempt to tighten the bar and weight screw, the internal assembly turns making it impossible to get the bar end weight screw tight. Any sugguestions?

All I can think of is try using a electric impact or drill with a screwdriver bit and spin it at high speed.

Thanks Dave, spinning it won't help, it will spin the entire assembly.

Need more info for the one that won't come out.
For the one that won't go in, be sure to clean the inside of the bar and the outside of the rubber. Apply some hair spray to the rubber, then insert it and let it dry. It will give you a little grip so you can run in the screw. As Dave said an impact will also help as they will turn a screw without turning the whole assembly.

leave it off, after market grips don't use them anyway. I never noticed a difference on my 02 & 08 when I changed the grips. ,
