How important is it to stick to the factory recommended maintenance schedule on a 2006 GL1800?

At 24,000 miles, they recommend changing out the brake fluid, clutch fluid, rear drive oil, radiator coolant, and the air cleaner. I don't think the air cleaners need to be replaced at 24,000 miles, but I'm not sure about the fluids.

This is my first Goldwing, but I have had several Honda's and have never been the best at sticking to a maintenacne schedule. This one seems a bit excessive.

Hi Dan. I only changed my brake and clutch fluid when it started to go very dark yellow, thats a good visual sign it needs changing, before it turns black.

The coolant can wait at least another year IMHO, it's good for a long time and many more miles.
