$35 for rear brake pads, and $190 for a new rear rotor, decent prices?

also, am i able to replace the rear pads without removing the rear tire? and the best way to do so? any help would help, thanks!!

going to search the forms for rear brake replacement now........bye

35 for the pads is average price, can be found cheaper. Check Bikebandits.com.

No need to remove the rear wheel, but you will have to remove the left side bag. This will give you plenty of room to get the caliper off. I believe there are only two bolts holding the caliper in place.

If you want to send me an email message, I will send you the pages (3) from the GL1500 Honda service manual describing how to change the rear brake pads.

Yep, there are two bolts for the caliper.

thanks everyone for all the input.

as soon as im able to order parts tomorrow, and some much needed help from DBohrer sending me info on the change, i'll be back on the road in no time.

i didnt mention that i threw a pad on the rear, will put on a set of pads for now, and will change the brakes (again) and rotor next yr when i replace the rear tire.

22 bucks for brakes and $135 bucks for the rear rotor

Some remove the bag, I just pull the wheel,it's alot easier for me.......

ahhh ordered extra stuff ,that always seems to happen to me too...
But Gary & Betty @cyclemax are nice folks and you'll have it in no time.....glad to have helped

Have to look closer next time...thought he had a 1200.
