O.K., some guys must think the world is full of idiots. Check out this '99 Anniversary Edition SE:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-Goldwing-50th-Anniv-Edition-Cruise-CB-Low-miles_W0QQitemZ280389997322QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_motorcycles?hash=item41488bd30a&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245

Looks like a nice bike BUT, if you read the specs it says it has a 6 speed transmission. So you say that it must be a typo and the guy just didn't catch it. Then you look down at the Q&A and someone asks him about it. Now this is a guy who claims he's been riding this bike for 4 years. Replies that he doesn't (maybe can't?) count the number of gears when he's driving. Just clicks through the gears and drives. Really? Honestly!? Come on, just admit the mistake and move on.
I would be surprised if this guy is a fellow member. Should know better.

In his defense, I checked out the Total Motorcycle site he referenced and it does say the Goldwing has a 6 speed transmission. Just goes to prove you shouldn't believe everything you read. What's that I read about Cousin Jack getting a divorce? Hey, Red, interested in a younger man? Just bring the Miata.

smells fishy to me. If he's put 5k miles on he KNOWS how many gears it has. He's full of it. I bet he bought it at an auction and is trying to make a quick buck. Probably a repo.

Check out his ebay user name "goldwingdon" but can't count five or six. He does have a 100% feedback rating though so don't worry. Reinforces my opinion of ebay.

Now that I think of it I never counted the gears on my mountain bike... and I've owned it for over twenty years and the odometer shows over 8,000 miles. Obviously I haven't been riding it much during the past ten years.

Or he sees the 1500/6 on the saddlebag and assumed...

Y'all are being way too hard on this guy. He is just living the dream. How many times, over the numerous bikes I've owned, have I said; "If I only had one more gear..."
Well, he made it happen! How'd he get them gears in them there spot in the tranny?
